This is the rooster that started it all for us at NgoAtse Exotic Chickens

He's the only chicken that survived the snake attack that devastated our flock some time back. Through all the challenges, he stood strong, and today he still proudly walks with his hens.

Now he's getting older, but we're grateful for every day we have with him. His quality, temperament, and genetics have played a huge role in our journey.
A special thank you to CT CN Motana for providing us with such an exceptional bird. 🙏

Buff Orpingtons & Broodiness - Let's Settle the Debate

This beautiful Buff Orpington hen is currently sitting tight on her eggs and getting ready to hatch some chicks.

When we shared this video on TikTok, it sparked quite a debate. Some people claimed that Buff Orpingtons don't go broody, while others said that broody buffs aren't "true" Buff Orpingtons.

From our experience, we've had Buff Orpington hens go broody and successfully hatch chicks. But we'd love to hear from fellow poultry keepers and breeders.

One of our beautiful Orpington chicken hens has officially started hatching, such an amazing moment to witness.

On the left, another nest with more Buff eggs… and we can already tell another hen is about to go broody soon

Nature doing its thing and we’re here for every moment of it. We can’t wait to see more chicks joining the flock.

Our breeding Orpington chicken flock is looking absolutely beautiful after molting

Feathers fresh, colours popping and condition looking strong, just the way we like it. Two of our hens are already laying, and we’re expecting the other two to follow soon

We’re getting closer to the next exciting phase… fertile eggs and chicks will be available soon.

The journey continues and we couldn’t be more proud of the progress
