That's a wrap!
Our dispersal sale was more than a week ago already! All the BKR Brahmans have arrived at their new homes safely.
As we close this chapter in our lives we want to thank our heavenly Father for the privilege to have been able to work with this very special breed of cattle. The Brahman is truly well adapted for Southern African conditions and above all, very intelligent!
Thank you to everybody who supported us and who helped us to make the auction day special and enjoyable to all. I would like to mention some and thank them from the bottom of my heart!
My wife Ilse for all the sacrifices made over the last 12 years and also for the planning and organizing the day of the sale.
She had help from our family and all our workers, many of our friends also jumped in to help, thank you!
Mr SHM, Simon Hughes and his team, from the planning of the catalogue sequence, the pictures you took, and only you can do it like that! The hard work checking and cross checking, viewing 350 animals and placing them in your sequence, it was a master piece and I salute you sir! You are a true master!
Gareth Hughes, you handled the auction for more than 5 hours without taking a break or breaking a sweat. Around 240 lots, auctioned from 11:00 till well after 16h00. What a boytjie! From the first time I met you a couple of years ago I was impressed with your kindness and auctioneering skills, I am now even more! Thank you!
De Wet Buchner, you arrived as transporter on Friday before the sale and got stuck in handling anything from gas bottles to Brahman Bulls, wherever someone needed help, De Wet was there! After the sale he assisted us over a couple of days loading all the animals and delivering the bulk of them all over. If ever you need a reliable livestock transporter for any ammount of cattle, De Wet is your man.
To all the bidders and buyers, you helped to set fair market related prices to all the animals, we thank you and may your acquired animals breed well for you!
