A life-changing day for deserved Mossel Bay residents. Ruwacon (contractor), together with Royal HaskoningDHV (Principal Agent) and the Western Cape Government (Client) held a Key handover ceremony for the first new residents of the Louis Fourie Housing Development.

This development is the first social housing development in the Western Cape, outside of Cape Town. It is also the first of a series of new social housing developments for Mossel bay and surrounding areas.

Louis Fourie will be able to provide homes to 1006 families, and the rest of the qualified families will be able to move into their new homes during the next few months as the project reaches completion.

It was an emotional day for all involved. Many of the new residents can start a new chapter without worrying about the lack of running water, electricity, or their safety.

We wish every one of the Louis Fourie Housing Development Community many happy memories in their new homes!
