Can’t believe that it’s already been two years since our little warrior princess was run over by the work bakkie. After the accident, she loved being pushed around in the wheelchair and she would wait to be lifted in so she could be taken out for a walk with the other dogs. Pleased that her broken leg has fully healed and there are no signs of long term damage…

Just noticed these yellow flowers in the garden which normally only germinate after fire. Not sure why they have decided to pop up this year. It just reminded us that the end of October was the anniversary of the mountain fires, five years ago, that destroyed most of our trees and plants. We have slowly been replacing lost plant life and love seeing our garden grow after the devastation…

We have had big wind storms on the farm. A couple of nice sunny days but the wind is back with a vengeance and pretty cold.

We live at a beautiful place…

It’s not only the dogs that like stealing Blueberries from the bushes. The Blueberries are definitely a hit with all the animals…

Cute little boy and girl born yesterday! We were not sure what the outcome would be after their mother needed veterinary attention when she impaled herself on a burnt tree stump. We are excited about having a new little girl lamb, especially after our high record of boys. She is the one in the video with the unique black mark on her front foot...

When you’re not allowed downstairs...

Nice to watch the Sunbirds come to drink by the kitchen window. Since the mountain fire last year, flowers and their nectar have been scarce. We are planting quite a few bird-friendly plants and trees in the hope to have plenty of natural nectar available for these beautiful little birds over the next few years...
