The tent is up, the tables and chairs ready, the musicians’ stage is up. The b**rs 🍻 are in the cold room, the Jäegermeister brownies are in the oven (those are sure to go quickly). Our very professional linedancing team 💃🕺have had their last rehearsal (it should be entertaining if that was anything to go by) and we have stopped checking the weather apps because they don’t seem to know what they are talking about. 🌤️🕶️🌞

Kei Mouth is in a party 🎉 mood 🥳. We could not be more ready!

A B**r Festival needs live music 🎶🎸🎤and this year we have two bands to keep the energy going. Die Dansorkes are back on Saturday afternoon after their highly-acclaimed appearance earlier this year at the barn dance. Raised on Rhythm, comprising Donovan Voogt and Warren Shaw (no strangers to Kei Mouth)will keep the party going 🎉🍻🎈🥂 through the evening. 🕺💃🏾

A little history about the Kei B**r Fest. The brain-child of the dynamic Noleen Weyer, the first festival was held in 2019, before Covid put the world on hold. 2022 saw its revival in a joint initiative between Kei Mouth Country Club and KMORA (the residents and ratepayers association). The festival is entirely volunteer-run, with proceeds going to club and village projects. However, the main motivation is to create an occasion to bring people to our village and showcase all that we have to offer.

If you want to find out more, ask Noleen. You will probably find her behind the Jägermeister stand on Saturday - busy raising more fun and funds for our village.

Here is some scheduling detail for the Kei B**r Fest on Saturday. Of course plans can shift around a little, but this will be close enough. The worst that will happen is extra time for another b**r while you enjoy the view. 🍻

Our Kei B**r Fest, taking place on Saturday 3rd, will have plenty for the younger guests. Entry is only R10 for the U18’s. So bring the family and make a day of it.

Whether you are loyal to the b**r supplier to the nation for the past 130 years, or a connoisseur of locally-brewed craft b**rs, we have you covered. South African Breweries, Table 58 Brewing and will all have their well-loved brews available.

There will be line dancing on 3rd October at the Kei B**r Fest. 💃💃 💃It has become part of the tradition. 🍻 Here is a sneak preview of the committee practicing Jerusalema. As you can see, it is more about fun than finesse. 😅 😅 😅

Come with your dancing shoes and join in - if we can do it, you can do it.

Whether you are into pizzas 🍕 or pancakes🥞, curry or calamari, burgers 🍔or biltong, or a traditional German Frankfurter🌭, you are sure to find something delicious to enjoy. We suggest something to eat at the festival and something to take home for Sunday snacks 🍟🍛🥩
