The cafe is open Wednesdays to Sundays from 09:00 - 16:00. Blueberries were first cultivated on the farm in 1995 and are grown to strict organic standards. This means that no industrial fertilisers are used and the farm makes use of natural composting and vermiculture techniques to ensure the blueberry bushes get all the goodness they need to produce amazing fruit. We are an organically certified producer (through Ecocert) of export quality fresh and frozen blueberries which means all our farm activities are audited regularly to maintain the highest possible organic standard. Blueberries are a superfood very high in antioxidants and proven to have numerous health benefits. They have been shown to have cancer fighting properties, strengthen blood vessels, enhance eyesight, improve memory and have a positive effect on brain and nerve functions. Not only are blueberries healthy but they are also an incredibly versatile ingredient that can add a touch of elegance to a variety of meals. They work very well in desserts, baking, salads, sauces and are great when paired with meats such as steak, pork and venison.
