Meet Urle - and yes, his office is stacked floor to ceiling with French oak.

What is he doing? Topping up the barrels. Every few weeks, a small amount of wine evaporates through the wood during ageing.

Every single barrel. By hand.
It sounds simple until you realise how many barrels are in this cellar, and how much the final wine depends on this one task being done with care.

Not all heroes wear capes. Some carry buckets. 🥂

This past weekend, JC Martin took the Hemel-en-Aarde Ridge to Amsterdam. 🇳🇱

At Cape Cru 2026, he joined South Africa's finest winemakers to share Creation's story with an international audience of wine lovers and trade - the cool Atlantic climate, the ancient soils, the vintages that could only come from this corner of the Cape.

Two days of pouring, connecting, and carrying Creation across the oceans. 🥂

After harvest, after sorting, after the barrels are filled - patience becomes the craft.

At Creation, our 2026 vintage is now resting in barrel on the Hemel-en-Aarde Ridge. Cool-climate viticulture demands as much stillness as precision, and this time of year is a reminder of both.

Glenns Chardonnay uses the same grapes as The Art, from the very same block. But where The Art is refined and precise, Glenn brings a fresh perspective - shaped by his travels and everything he’s discovering along the way.

Same grapes. New thinking. A wine that pushes the team to re-evaluate themselves every single year in the pursuit of best expressing this site.

On the nose: fresh citrus and white peach. On the palate: a rich, creamy texture with a long, mineral finish.
