🚧 Temporary Closure Notice – Ox-Wagon Trail

It is with great sadness that we announce the temporary closure of the Duiwelskop Ox Wagon Trail.

Due to recent weather conditions, the Ox Wagon Trail has unfortunately been severely damaged. For the safety of all our guests, the trail will be temporarily closed while essential repairs are underway.

Thank you for your patience and understanding during this time. Please keep an eye on our social media pages for updates and announcements regarding the reopening of the route.

We look forward to welcoming you back to experience the beauty of the Ox Wagon Trail once again.

LATE, BUT EXCITING START TO 2026 SA RALLY-RAID CHAMPIONSHIP WITH OUTENIQUA 600 OPENING THE SEASON OVER THREE DAYS IN SCENIC GARDEN ROUTE

The 2026 South African Rally-Raid Championship is set to get off to a stimulating start with the upcoming Outeniqua 600 that will take place over three days on 8, 9 and 10 May from Louvain Guest Farm in the picturesque Garden Route in the southern Cape. This event will now form the first round of the season after the initial season opener that was scheduled for the Stella area in the North-West Province was postponed due to the outbreak of Foot-and-Mouth Disease (FMD).

The Outeniqua 600 Endurance race also brings longstanding off-road loyalists, the Corbett family, who have participated in the various facets of the sport since 1996 on board as the title sponsors of this prominent event,
with the international and local award-winning Century Property Developments and the highly celebrated and respected race car constructor Century Racing.

“It is always extremely rewarding when esteemed competitors and commercial enterprises, who have enjoyed the successes and comradery of our sport invest in promoting the aura of the sport,” said SARR CEO Archie Rutheford

The Outeniqua event, that took place for the first time in September last year in the Herold area between George and Uniondale in the Upper Langkloof flanked by the Kouga and Kammanassie mountain ranges towards the north and the Outeniqua mountains to the south, proved to be extremely popular with competitors and spectators alike and was voted by the competing teams as the 2025 SARRC Event of the Year.

DEAR VALUED GUESTS


Yesterday, at around 15:00, we experienced one of the worst storms that we have had on the farm for as long as we can remember.

We would like to assure everybody that nobody was hurt during the storm, and all the animals are safe and well taken care of.

We have a lot of work to do regarding repairs, but we are very fortunate to have an extremely capable team that is hard at work at restoring all the damage.

At Louvain we strive to provide the best service, no matter the circumstances.

Our scheduled weddings and functions will proceed as normal.

Many other facilities in the area were struck worse by the storm, and our thoughts and prayers are with them during these trying times.

** MOTORSPORT MANIA - IMPORTANT NOTICE **

Please note that there is an incorrect poster circulating regarding our Motorsport Mania Event happening this weekend.

Below is the correct event details & weekends schedule;

Friday 30th:
Bikes only: single tracks on Louvain (Strictly practice runs, not compulsory).

Saturday 31st:
- STRICTLY no fun riding or practice loops on Saturday.
- Registration starts 7:00am at wedding venue
- Routes Open: Kids: 8:00am - 9:00am Adults: 9:00am-12:00am strictly.
- ECORC Rally: Starts 12:00am, All other bikes and vehicles MUST be off the route.

Sunday 1st:
8:00am - 10:00am single tracks on Louvain open to bikes, not the 50km loop, Friday’s practice route will be open.
