Hi Spill Central,

Please post my story anonymously.

I went to Malawi in pursuit of enhancing my luck, only to find myself trapped in a ritual that requires me to sleep with corpses at a mortuary every single night.

Greed and jealousy drove me into a very dark place. Today, I have all the money I once dreamed of, a successful trucking business, a mortuary, and a wife who is a professional doctor. But the wealth I've acquired has come at a price I never imagined paying.

I went to a sangoma in Malawi, introduced to me by my Malawian gardener. I was desperate to get ahead in life, and I believed I needed something powerful to unlock my fortunes. The sangoma took me to a graveyard and instructed me to sleep with the body of a recently buried woman. He assured me it was a once off ritual and that, after that, I would never struggle financially again.

Now, I feel imprisoned by these rituals. What was supposed to be a once off sacrifice has become a ritual that i need to perform every night, and my heart grows darker every time i do it.
Recently, I was informed by my Malawian sangoma that when I performed the first ritual, I sacrificed my ability to have children.

I am tired and feel trapped by the wealth. However, I am scared that if I stop, I will lose everything, just as the sangoma has warned me.

Hi Spill Central, please hide my identity.

When I started varsity, I was struggling to survive. Sometimes I barely had enough money for rent, transport and food.
There was a foreign national lecturer at the university who offered me R40,000 to marry her so she could sort out her South African papers and qualify for better job opportunities. At the time, I was desperate for money, so I agreed. We got married, she paid me, and eventually we went our separate ways. I honestly forgot about that chapter of my life.

Fast-forward to today. I've found the woman I want to spend the rest of my life with, and I've already paid lobola. Now we want to take the next step and officially register our marriage, but there's one problem: I'm still legally married to the woman I married back in my varsity days.
I tried looking for my first wife at the university, only to discover that she no longer works there. Some former colleagues told me she'd relocated, but nobody seems to know where she went. I don't have her current number or any contact details for her family.

Now I'm stuck. The woman I love wants us to move forward with our lives, but my past is standing in the way. I'm afraid that when I explain the full situation, she might question whether she can trust me.

Hi Spill Central

Please keep me anonymous.

I need advice because I've created a situation that I don't know how to get out of. My relationship has been going through a rough patch for some time. About two months ago, my boyfriend and I had a huge argument. He told me he wasn't ready to take our relationship to the next level and needed space to figure out what he wanted. I was hurt and angry. In the heat of the moment, I told him my period was late and that I thought I might be pregnant.

He immediately changed. The same man who had been talking about needing space suddenly wanted to come over every day. He started talking about our future and how we would raise a child.
The truth is, I wasn't pregnant. I hadn't even taken a test. I just wanted to know whether he cared enough about me to fight for our relationship.

Now, he's been telling his family that he's going to be a father. His mother has already started calling me to ask how I'm feeling, and my boyfriend is making plans for us to move in together. Every day, I tell myself I'll come clean, but then I see how happy he is, and I get scared. I know I've done something wrong. I just didn't expect the lie to change everything so quickly.

Should I tell him the truth immediately and risk losing him, or have I already destroyed this relationship beyond repair?
