Shraw was powerful. Detective Raymond truly felt the weight of the situation. She could relate with Jahniyah. She understood the pain, the trauma, the breaking point. Jahniyah was wrong, no doubt but when you’ve been pushed to the edge, it’s the last straw that snaps it all.

It’s a reminder: wherever we exist in this world, we must do good, be light, be justice, be protection. Detective Raymond made it her mission to save that woman’s life.

And when she found that guy? That sucker punch was everything. That was the real definition of “I got my sister’s back.”

Please, let’s not forget that this story wasn’t just based on a child that was physically challenged. Or just a mother that was treated poorly in her community or this wasn’t just about a mother with financial issues. This movie was also based on a mother going through mental health psychosis!! She went through so much that she snapped and also had a mental breakdown💔😢

Please be careful how you treat and handle people. You never know how fragile they are and what they are going through behind closed doors.

Straw is one of the best movies of Tyler Perry to me that I have seen yet🙏🏾
