Baruch HaShem its starting to smell like Shabbas!
I'm not sure what makes one week more intense than the next, but I am looking so forward to the Shabbat reset (every week) but -golly gosh -especially this week. (Who even says golly gosh unless they are deadly serious?!)
Im especially excited to use my pretzel challah (pictured above) to lap up the sticky sauce from the salami hassleback c/o - it has whisky in the recipe, you cannot go wrong!

Hoping its a deliciously relaxing shabbas to you all!

Anyone else feeling like we REALLY need a sweet new year? Perhaps one filled with rich dark chocolate between swirls of buttery dough and then topped with a rich chocolate ganache and a sparkle of tartness from pomegranate jewels? Maybe a little more tea and cake with family and friends or for those bedraggled mothers, some tea and cake alone...
I can't promise a year of sweetness but I can offer this as a close second.

A little because 1. Im a millennial and 2. Five years is a long short time, and since Elul is a time for reflection, I thought I should reflect on my little

I had a baby, lost my father, moved home, built a kitchen, went under the Beth din, started selling to the public at the market, cried a million thousand tears, double pumped about 50 thousand times, laughed hysterically, celebrated, been humbled more often than not, grown, rejoiced, wanted to throw in the towel, been amazed at my grit and determination ... its been a ride.
I wonder what the next 5 years have in store...
Hopefully it's more celebrating, rejoicing, growing (only in refinement and business and not in kilograms) BUT I know that the double pump sobbing, the loss, the hurt, the disappointment the failure will be there too, helping me move forward.

Most of all, I hope you stay with me and continue to support my "passion project" and share in the joy, the hard the good and the bad.
