Asian-Style Slaw Recipe - Cook-along coming up shortly ❤️

INGREDIENTS

- Red cabbage shredded long & thin
- Chinese cabbage shredded long & thin
- Carrots julienned long & thin
- Apple julienned long & thin
- Sprouts whole

Dressing
- Mayonnaise
- Soy sauce
- Rice vinegar or apple cider vinegar
- Sesame oil
- Honey or sugar

Method
1.Combine all vegetables & apple in a large bowl keeping the sprouts whole
2.In a separate bowl mix mayonnaise soy sauce vinegar sesame oil & honey until smooth
3.Taste adjust salt sweetness & acidity using soy honey & vinegar
4.Pour dressing over the slaw little by little
5.Toss gently to coat without bruising the cabbage or breaking the sprouts
6.Chill 15 to 20 minutes before serving

Creamy Potato Salad with Bacon & Crispy Onion

INGREDIENTS

- Baby potatoes
- Streaky bacon
- Crispy onions
- Italian flat leaf parsley finely chopped
- Mayonnaise
- Spring onion

Seasoning
Salt
Black pepper
A squeeze of lemon juice
Olive oil

Method
1. Cook baby potatoes whole in well salted water until just tender
2. Drain while hot & lightly crush or slice depending on preference
3. Cook bacon until golden & crisp then roughly chop
4. Add warm potatoes to a bowl while still steaming
5. Mix seasoning - salt black pepper & lemon or vinegar in mayo
6. Fold in mayonnaise so it melts slightly into the potatoes
7. Add bacon crispy onions, spring onion & parsley
8.Gently mix keeping some texture

Chef tips
– Dress the potatoes while warm for maximum flavour absorption
– Add mayo gradually you want creamy not heavy
– This is perfect warm or chilled
– Great with braai meats, roast chicken or schnitzel
