🔥Mince and Bean Curry with MohFiya🔥
Ingredients:
500g ground beef or minced meat
1 can (410g) of kidney beans, drained and rinsed
1 large onion, finely chopped
2 cloves of garlic, minced
2.5 cm piece of ginger, grated
2 tablespoons MohFiya chili sauce (adjust to your spice preference)
1 can (410g) of diced tomatoes
10ml (2 teaspoons) curry powder
5ml (1 teaspoon) ground cumin
5ml (1 teaspoon) ground coriander
2.5ml (1/2 teaspoon) turmeric
Salt and pepper, to taste
30ml (2 tablespoons) cooking oil
Fresh cilantro leaves for garnish (optional)
Cooked rice or naan for serving
Instructions:
🔥In a large skillet or pan, heat the cooking oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onions and sauté until they become soft and translucent.
🔥Add the minced garlic, grated ginger, and MohFiya chili sauce. Stir well and cook for about 2 minutes until the mixture is fragrant.
🔥Add the ground beef (minced meat) to the pan and cook, breaking it apart with a spatula, until it's browned and no longer pink. Drain any excess fat if needed.
🔥Stir in the curry powder, ground cumin, ground coriander, turmeric, salt, and pepper. Cook for another 2-3 minutes to toast the spices.
🔥Pour in the diced tomatoes and kidney beans. Mix well and allow the mixture to simmer for about 10-15 minutes, letting the flavors meld together. If the mixture becomes too thick, you can add a little water to reach your desired consistency.
🔥Taste the curry and adjust the seasoning or spiciness as needed, adding more MohFiya sauce if you want it spicier.
🔥Once the mince and bean curry is cooked to your liking, remove it from heat.
🔥Serve the curry hot, garnished with fresh cilantro leaves (if desired), and accompanied by cooked rice or naan bread.
