Some shops you nip in and out of, and then there's the big one, the proper month-end stock-up right after payday when you fill the trolley to the top and set the whole family up for the weeks ahead.

This is the week for it. The butchery, the bakery, the fruit and veg and every aisle in between are running specials right now, so the one big trip covers everything from the freezer meat to the Sunday veg to a little something sweet for the lunchboxes. One shop, done well, and you're not back for the small things every second day.

Our meat market specials run from 25 August to 5 September, and with the doors open till 6pm every Sunday, there's plenty of room to take your time over it.
