I visited my mom for her birthday, and as we were chatting with relatives, we started asking each other what we’re doing these days. I told them I’m into piggery.
One of them paused, sighed in relief, and said, “Son, maybe you can help us with a problem we have next door.” He explained that the neighbors’ pigs were a menace — breaking out of their pens and damaging his field. Worse still, they weren’t being properly fed. They had simply been inherited from a late relative, and no real care was being given to them.
Out of concern, we immediately went to see them. When they noticed how much I care about the animals, they even tried to raise the price from the original amount. But honestly, the pigs were in a very bad state — surviving on grass, with no proper feed, no water, poor ventilation, and no cleaning.
Normally, I focus on pure, high-quality breeds. But this time, I couldn’t turn a blind eye. I decided to take them in and give them a better chance at life.
When we got home, I dewormed them and started feeding them properly. This is just the beginning — I’ll be sharing their progress as they recover and grow.
Glory be to the Most High. 🙏
