5 Reasons You Must Build Your Capacity to Dwell Among the Rich and Well-to-Do
Many people we really don't understand this and we think spending more time in prayer will bring us before able men, actually connections don't just fall from the sky!
Absolutely. The key biblical principle is that access to certain rooms requires preparation. If you want to dwell among people who are wealthy, influential, educated, and successful, you must develop yourself so that you can add value and function confidently in those environments.
1. Capacity determines how much you can carry.
“A good man leaves an inheritance to his children's children.” Proverbs 13:22
God may bless you with opportunities, but if your capacity is small, you may not be able to sustain what comes with them. Build your knowledge, wisdom, character, financial discipline, communication skills, and leadership ability. Don't only pray for a bigger platform prepare yourself to handle it.
2. Wisdom gives you access to influential people.
“Wisdom is better than strength… wisdom is better than weapons of war.” Ecclesiastes 9:16,18
Money alone doesn't make you valuable in powerful rooms. Wisdom does. Learn how to speak, listen, solve problems, make decisions, and conduct yourself with maturity. When you carry wisdom, people of influence recognize your value.
3. Excellence separates you from the crowd.
“Do you see someone skilled in their work? They will serve before kings.” Proverbs 22:29
Notice the Bible doesn't say the person who merely desires to stand before kings it says the skilled person. Develop your craft until your ability speaks for you. Excellence can take you into rooms your background could never open.
4. Character determines whether you remain in those rooms.
“Whoever walks in integrity walks securely.” Proverbs 10:9
Getting access is one thing; keeping access is another. If you lack integrity, discipline, humility, and self-control, your opportunities can disappear quickly. Build your character alongside your success. Don't become wealthy in possessions but poor in character.
5. You must become a person who can add value.
“The generous will themselves be blessed, for they share their food with the poor.” Proverbs 22:9
Don't enter relationships asking, “What can I get from these people?” Ask, “What can I contribute?” The wealthy and influential also need trustworthy people, ideas, solutions, wisdom, skills, and genuine relationships. Your value determines the kind of relationships you can sustain.
The bottom line
Don't simply pray to sit at the table of kings. Build the capacity to deserve your seat at the table.
Your gives you confidence.
Your gives you relevance.
Your gives you access.
Your keeps you there.
And your makes people want you at the table.
