We are incredibly proud to share that Beefmaster Factory Shop has been recognised with the Industry Favourite Award at the 21st BestBusiness.co.za Cleaver Awards. Recently held in August, the Awards name our Factory shop as one of the Best of the Best in the Northern Cape.

For more than 21 years, the Cleaver Awards has recognised excellence in South Africa’s butchery industry, celebrating the most distinguished butchers across the country who exemplify excellence in customer service, product quality and business innovation.

The 2026 recipients were recognised for maintaining high quality standards and adapting to changing market demands.

Ultimately, this award is about the people behind the Beefmaster name. From our farmers and production teams to our operational, commercial and support teams, it reflects the expertise, dedication and care that goes into what we do every day.

The major beef producer says regulatory changes will save the industry billions of rands.

This past weekend, we celebrated another successful Flavour Festival – a day filled with incredible food, great company and plenty of gees.

What started as a small platform for local producers has grown into a much-loved annual celebration of our area’s food story. From just 200 attendees in 2021 to 1,000 ticket holders in 2026, Flavour continues to bring together food lovers, producers and artisans to celebrate the people and passion behind local products.

Yet, as impressive as the footfall sounds, festival organisers have managed to preserve the festival’s special and intimate atmosphere, and this year was no different.

Thank you to everyone who attended, our vendors, partners and the team behind the scenes for making this year’s festival one to remember. We look forward to welcoming you back next year!

Congratulations to Roelie van Reenen, supply chain executive at Beefmaster Group, on his recent appointment as Vice Chairperson of the South African Feedlot Association (SAFA).

Roelie’s election recognises his ongoing commitment to the feedlot industry and his active contribution to advancing the interests of South Africa’s beef sector.
