Leeuwenbosch is a family
business that has been operating in the Rheenendal, Knysna area for many years. Leeuwenbosch Dairy Products was started 14 years ago by Gerhard Beyleveld and is now run by his sons , Hein and Gert Beyleveld. Gert is the farmer and in charge of the herd, feeding and well being of the animals on the farm while Hein takes care of manufacturing and distribution. All our cows are pasture fed on kikuyu and rye grass and we plant alternative crops for winter feeding such as oats, barley and maize although the main basis of our feeding are pastures. The herd is free roaming and is not fed in feedlots like on other intensive dairy farms. It is our mission to supply wholesome pasture fed milk and all our animals are tested and certified TB and Hormone RBst free.
