Alternaria Brown Spot (ABS) remains one of the most challenging and economically damaging diseases in susceptible citrus cultivars.

🌿 Plant health is not just a theme. It is the foundation of food security, trade, biodiversity, and national biosecurity.

This year, Biosyntrix was proud to play an active role in the celebration of the International Day of Plant Health — a powerful reminder that protecting plants means protecting people, livelihoods, ecosystems, and economies.

We were honored to support the event in two important ways.

As part of the interactive Biosecurity Experience, Biosyntrix joined government, research, and industry partners in bringing the full plant biosecurity chain to life. Across six educational stations, attendees moved through the journey from border inspection and on-farm biosecurity to surveillance, diagnostics, trade impacts, and market access.

Together with the National Department of Agriculture, our team facilitated the Surveillance & Reporting station — demonstrating how early detection, field reporting, surveys, and sample collection form the critical link between risk awareness and rapid response.
