From today until 30 September, every till slip of 𝗥𝟭𝟱𝟬 𝗼𝗿 𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗲 from any store at 𝗗𝗮𝗸𝘂 𝗦𝗾𝘂𝗮𝗿𝗲 is an entry. Turn it over, write your full name and contact number on the back, and drop it in the competition box in the centre. One name comes out of that box at the end of the month and goes home with a 𝗥𝟮,𝟬𝟬𝟬 𝗦𝗣𝗔𝗥 𝘃𝗼𝘂𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗿.

Month-end trolley done? Now make the fresh stuff last. 🥬

Potatoes and onions like it dark, dry and apart from each other, because together they spoil faster. Carrots and cabbage go in the fridge drawer, not the door. Tomatoes stay on the counter until they are ripe, then into the fridge. Spinach and morogo keep longest wrapped in a damp cloth inside a bag. Bananas hang alone, away from everything else, because they ripen the whole bowl.

And the bread: freeze half the loaf the day you buy it. It toasts from frozen and tastes like day one.
