STUDY SNACK SEASON IS HERE ๐ง ๐ช
We are all knee deep in exam time right now, and letโs be honest-snacking is high on the priority list between studying, revising, and trying to keep energy levels up ๐
As a mom feeding my own teens (and with most of my cooking club students also being teens), Iโve been thinking a lot about simple snack ideas that actually help support focus and energy during this time.
Here are some ideas for smarter study snacks:
๐ฅ Combining high fibre + high protein foods can help keep you fuller for longer and support more stable energy levels during study sessions
๐ง Protein-rich foods like yoghurt, milk, eggs, biltong, chickpeas, nuts and edamame help with satiety and focus
๐พ Fibre-rich foods like fruit, oats, popcorn and legumes help slow down energy release and reduce crashes
๐ซ A small treat element (like dark chocolate or marshmallows) can still fit in- itโs all about balance and portion awareness
โก The goal is not perfection, but better fuel choices that support your brain during long study hours
