AQUAffection

AQUAffection Born from a concern for SA’s water situation, we aim to drive a national shift in how we value and manage Water.

We offer an end-to-end water management solution to help clients reduce water loss, ensure supply continuity & build long-term resilience. AQUAffection emerged as a response to the escalating strain on South African water sources caused by climate change and the resulting shifts in weather patterns. Presently ranked as the 30th driest nation globally, South Africa is projected to become an extreme

ly water-scarce country by 2025. It is imperative for South Africans to undergo a profound mindset shift in their water consumption habits and adopt a radically different approach to managing this invaluable resource. Water is an essential element for the survival of all living organisms. Hence, it necessitates being regarded as our most precious asset, without which our existence would be impossible. It is this notion that inspired the name AQUAffection, combining "AQUA" (water) and "Affection" (fondness, love, care) - a manifestation of our deep appreciation for water…..for the love of water. Recognising that the appropriate handling of water can yield economic, environmental, social, and health benefits, our company strives to make a positive impact across all sectors. From rural environments, where access to water for survival is critical, to industrial and commercial applications, where consumption is substantial for production and manufacturing processes, we aim to provide comprehensive assistance. We have identified a pressing need to manage and conserve water in South Africa, and our company is dedicated to offering top-quality products and services related to water conservation.

Building Water Resilience at Balwin Properties The Whisken

In an area regularly affected by erratic municipal water supply, The Whisken required a smart and reliable solution to improve water resilience for this high-density residential development.

We implemented:
✔ Live water meter monitoring
✔ Council pressure monitoring with automated alarms
✔ Back-up water storage
✔ Enhanced aesthetic integration with powder-coated tanks

The result?
Improved visibility and control during council interruptions, reliable back-up water capacity, and a fast, efficient construction process.

This project was one of our first installations featuring powder-coated tanks, combining functionality with a cleaner architectural finish for the estate environment.

A big thank you to our project partners aQco, DAB Pumps and SBS Tanks for contributing to another successful water resilience project. 💧

Boosting Water Resilience at Atterbury Property Bendehuis

With growing pressure on municipal supply, Bendehuis implemented a fully engineered turn-key groundwater augmentation solution to reduce reliance on the municipal network while ensuring consistent SANS 241-compliant drinking water.

The system integrates seamlessly with the existing infrastructure and includes advanced filtration, smart automation, metering, remote monitoring, and a fully WUL-compliant implementation.

Project Highlights:

• Groundwater augmentation system
• Reduced municipal water consumption
• Reliable treated drinking water
• Smart automation & real-time monitoring
• Seamless integration with existing systems
• WULA

This project proves that with the right technology, engineering, and collaboration, lasting resilience can be built from the ground up. 💧

Another completed project and a Win for Water!

When the taps run dry, resilience matters.
At The Polofields, Waterfall City, recurring municipal water outages were becoming more than just an inconvenience, they were disrupting daily life.

Together with Balwin Properties, Team AQUAffection implemented a backup water solution designed to give residents peace of mind:
✔ 1–2 days of water back-up during outages
✔ Seamless integration with existing municipal infrastructure
✔ Efficient installation of tanks and distribution systems

What made this project special wasn’t just the infrastructure, it was the collaboration💧

With the client preparing the tank base and pump room, our team could focus on precision ex*****on and deliver efficiently.

Water resilience isn’t about tanks and pumps. It’s about uninterrupted showers before school. It’s about kitchens that keep running. It’s about communities that don’t pause when infrastructure does.

Thank you to our valued partners aQco, Delta Smart, DAB Pumps & SBS Tanks. Here’s to building communities that are prepared, not panicked.

The Green Drop Report 2025 is here and it’s a wake-up call for the sector.

While some municipalities are proving that world-class wastewater management is achievable, too many systems remain under pressure, with ageing infrastructure, capacity constraints, and rising operational risks threatening our water security.

This report is more than an assessment, it’s a roadmap for accountability, investment, and urgent action to protect public health, our environment, and the dignity of communities across South Africa.

Now is the time for leadership, collaboration, and decisive intervention.

Water security is about more than infrastructure, it’s about empowering people with the tools and training to take responsibility for their water use.

Through smart technology, backup systems and awareness training, we’ve helped campuses at Curro Heuwelkruin, Meridian Rustenburg, Cooper College, Curro Brackenfell, Curro Victory Park and St Dominics to manage their water systems and prevent losses.

In collaboration with SBS Tanks, aQco, DeltaSmart and DAB Pumps, we are reducing municipal strain and fostering a culture of responsibility.

Shout-out to Curro for prioritising water and doing what they can to mitigate the increasing risk of water security. 💪

One Drop closer to a water-secure South Africa
