AQUAffection

AQUAffection Born from a concern for SA’s water situation, we aim to drive a national shift in how we value and manage Water.

We offer an end-to-end water management solution to help clients reduce water loss, ensure supply continuity & build long-term resilience. AQUAffection emerged as a response to the escalating strain on South African water sources caused by climate change and the resulting shifts in weather patterns. Presently ranked as the 30th driest nation globally, South Africa is projected to become an extreme

ly water-scarce country by 2025. It is imperative for South Africans to undergo a profound mindset shift in their water consumption habits and adopt a radically different approach to managing this invaluable resource. Water is an essential element for the survival of all living organisms. Hence, it necessitates being regarded as our most precious asset, without which our existence would be impossible. It is this notion that inspired the name AQUAffection, combining "AQUA" (water) and "Affection" (fondness, love, care) - a manifestation of our deep appreciation for water…..for the love of water. Recognising that the appropriate handling of water can yield economic, environmental, social, and health benefits, our company strives to make a positive impact across all sectors. From rural environments, where access to water for survival is critical, to industrial and commercial applications, where consumption is substantial for production and manufacturing processes, we aim to provide comprehensive assistance. We have identified a pressing need to manage and conserve water in South Africa, and our company is dedicated to offering top-quality products and services related to water conservation.

More than 300 MILLION litres of water saved in just 30 months. Well done Curro!

To put this into perspective, that's enough water to fill nearly 19,000 medium-sized municipal water tankers. Imagine that convoy!

Savings like this do NOT 'just happen'. Stewarding water takes commitment, continuous awareness, and small actions every single day. Consistency is key.

Efficient, aware and on it!
Thank you to the entire Curro team for embracing innovation, sustainability, and making water stewardship part of everyday school life. Together, we're proving that every drop truly counts.

Reliable water. Uninterrupted learning.
At Eduvos SA Midrand, we took the campus from guesswork to visibility to resilience.

1. Smart monitoring: live water data, not last month's bill.
2. Efficiency devices + ground staff training: 40%+ average reduction since project start.
3. Automated backup: and because demand dropped first, the same storage now covers closer to 3 days instead of 2.

Same tanks. More resilience. That's why monitoring and efficiencies are the smart way to start.

Eduvos Midrand is part of the project, initiated by the SA-German Chamber of Commerce and Industry - AHK Südliches Afrika. A huge thank you to the WECISA team for the work they do helping companies understand why monitoring and efficiency come first. Eduvos is showcasing water action in realtime.

Every successful project is about more than the technology. It's about solutions that make a tangible difference to the people who rely on them every day. Proud to work alongside Eduvos to build a more resilient learning environment.

If you run a campus, a school or a multi-tenant site, the first question isn't how big a tank you need, it's how much water you're actually using.

A special thank you to our partners who contributed in making this project possible: Beulco GmbH & Co. KG Delta-Smart SBS Tanks SurplusWater2025

Here is a story about Sekwati Primary School in Soweto. This school celebrated Plastic Free Day yesterday and we were invited. An inspiration!

With a full eco-friendly setup, including solar panels, rain water harvesting and a vegetable garden where learners grow their own produce, Sekwati Primary understands and lives stewardship.

Plastic Free day was packed with practical, hands-on fun. Visitors turned plastic bottles into bird feeders, gave old 5L containers a new life as planters for flowers and veggies, and even made creative pencil holders out of plastic bottles. On top of that, the learners entertained everyone with lively dances and showed off a display of seriously creative outfits made entirely out of recycled materials!

Days like this are a reminder that every action, big and small adds up when it comes to protecting our environment, and it's amazing to see kids growing up with sustainability already part of how they think.

Huge thanks to everyone who helped make the day happen Gauteng Department of Environment Rand Water, Water Wise SurplusWater2025, Sage Foundation A Cleaner Joburg PETCO, Youth Opportunities South Africa Samila Garden .

One recycled bottle, one planted seed, one drop at a time. Here's to a greener future. 🌍💚

12 179 litres of water.

That's how much water the learners at Laerskool Villieria have refilled, at their very own POD, in just under 10 months.

Equivalent of 24 358 single-use plastic water bottles... not ending up in the landfill. 🙌

While the learners are enjoying their holiday, we thought we'd surprise them with a brand-new POD design that celebrates the true Villies spirit. We also took the opportunity to give their POD a full service and upgrade, ensuring it's ready for a busy second half of 2026.

Follow our story! We'll be visiting Laerskool Villieria early next term for the official POD reveal, and while we're there, an interactive Water Awareness session.

Thank you, ! Loop wakker, stay hydrated, and keep leading the . 💙

Shout out to our POD-partners JoJo, K-Plumbing ...watch this space.

What is a POD?
POD is short for Purified on Demand and it is a custom branded refill water station that provides clean, great-tasting drinking water by using JoJo's disruptor filter. The POD encourages healthy hydration while it helps reducing reliance on single-use plastic bottles.

Is your school ready to join the ?
DM us to find out how a POD can help your school become more Water Savvy.

To shape water stewardship for a thousand generations, we must first listen to the next. So when our kids talk, we'd better listen.

The AQUAffection training team, together with SurplusWater2025, Rand Water's Water Wise ran a Water Edutainment session with learners from a couple of local primary schools. The challenge was simple: create a poster to show what you know about the importance of saving water.

The creativity? Off the charts! We simply had to share.

Here are just a few of the poster submissions we've received. Absolute works of art! Massive thank you to everyone who participated.

If your school is located in Gauteng and would like to arrange a water awareness event, drop us a DM.

Love the JoJo Tanks 💙

This old fella was operating like a well designed irrigation system. 😜 The problem, however, is that it was never meant to be a well designed irrigation system. It was purpose-built to transport water efficiently from point A to point B… 70 years ago.

Our team recently assisted one of the schools in our ‘Water Care’ to replace this leaking underground water feature. This specific leak was wasting around 157 litres of water PER HOUR 😳

If left unattended, this leak would easily ‘spill’ the equivalent of 7 days of backup water for this facility.

The bottom line (and we’re not even talking about the money):

1. Focus on infrastructure first: Is it doing what it was designed to do? If not, get it fixed.
2. Next, look at efficient use, cut the waste.
3. Finally, build resilience into your strategy to ensure you stay operational during outages.

Seems simple enough.

What is Water Stewardship? This, right here. Well done team and shout out to this School for prioritising water.

Give us a shout if you need a ‘water-guy’ to help transform your water infrastructure into a Sustainable Water Management System. We live for this stuff! 💪

At Pan Africa Mall, Team AQUAffection and aQco delivered a custom-designed water treatment system that transforms extracted groundwater into clean, safe, SANS 241-compliant drinking water, without the need for extensive storage infrastructure.

Recognising the importance of water security, Redefine Properties invested in a solution that safeguards the mall's day-to-day operations. How? With an integrated system that combines advanced filtration, disinfection, and remote monitoring to ensure consistent water quality and reliable performance.

Impact so far:
• Groundwater treated and supplied
• 99% reduction in iron concentration
• Lower operational costs and improved long-term resilience

Working with aQco and Delta-Smart on this demonstrates how innovative engineering, strategic investment, and collaboration can transform a challenge into a sustainable opportunity. The result? Lasting value for property owners, tenants, and the communities they serve.

Thank you to for your commitment to sustainable infrastructure and water resilience. 💦
