CALLING AGRICULTURAL STUDENTS FOR OUR 2027 INTAKE 🥗🗣

24/07/2026

67 minutes of action. A lifetime of impact. 💛

This Mandela Day, HF spent our 67 minutes where it matters most.

🌱 Planting seedlings at Talitha Children's Home for disabled children to start their new veggie garden. Thank you to Weeds and Seeds and Lynca Meats for joining us and making it possible.

⛹️ Donating a trampoline to Kotulong Community Center so the orphan children have a space to play and just be kids.

🍲 Cooking together in Kotulong's kitchen to make sure everyone had a warm meal.

"Everyone can make a difference." And this year, we did.

Your back to school salads have been planted 😃 It takes 6-8 weeks for most varieties of lettuce to mature, so Harvestfresh Farms plans out each week's plantings to make sure you have fresh lettuce, year round. What we planted this week will be your "back to routine" salads, and with a cup of Romaine lettuce providing up to 36% of your daily vitamin A intake it's an excellent idea to add a salad to your meal planning 😃

Harvestfresh Farms is thrilled to announce that we partook in the 14th annual Thebe Investment Corporation Excellence Awards Ceremony 2025! We are beyond proud to share that our very own Siya received the award for Individual Excellence, an absolutely prestigious honour recognizing his effort and dedication to sustainable farming practices. Congratulations to Siya, we are so proud to have you on the Harvestfresh Farms team!

Also a massive well done to Mr Mokgethi on receiving the Leadership Award for Managers, your consistent efforts and guidance at Harvestfresh Farms is invaluable, and we are honoured to be working with you every step of the way.

With the holidays fast approaching and family meals being planned this recipe is quick, easy to make and absolutely divine drizzled over a variety of salads, stirfry's and wraps for a fresh burst of flavour this festive season! 😀

Ingredients
1/4 cup extra virgin olive oil
1/4 cup fresh lemon juice
1 tablespoon red w**e vinegar
1 tablespoon chopped parsley
1 tablespoon chopped mint
1-2 cloves minced/crushed garlic
1 tablespoon dried oregano
Salt & black pepper to taste
1/2 teaspoon dijon mustard (optional) for emulsion
1 teaspoon honey (optional) to balance the acidity of the vinegar and if you prefer it less zesty

Method
Add all ingredients to a shaker and give it a good shake, then drizzle over your favourite green salad, stirfry or wrap 🥗🍲🌯

Notes
•Feel free to add additional salt, pepper, lemon juice and or honey if necessary.
•This dressing can be stored refrigerated in an airtight container for up to five days. •The ingredients may seperate when standing, give it a shake or a stir and it's ready to be used again (the dijon mustard does reduce this)

Let us know in the comments if you gave it a try and what you think!

Harvestfresh Farms welcomed the Midvaal Mayor, Mr Peter Teixeira, as well as some of his loyal team to our facility today. We were excited to share our farming operations and future plans and goals with him, Mr Maxted and Mr Mokgeti taking us through some numbers and then through to our hydroponics systems where our Siya proudly showed off his system and latest crops.

We'd like to say a big thank you to Mr Teixeira for always making time for us at HF and we hope this relationship will continue to prosper well into the future as we all work together for a greater Midvaal 😀
