Rich Meats We are a supplier of meat to the catering industry. We recently opened a retail outlet for the general public at The Gallery Centre in Milnerton.

Rich Meats is a respected and well known supplier of meat products in the Western Cape. Established in the year 2000, the company is known for quality meat, competitive prices and excellent customer service. Servicing mainly the catering industry in the peninsula, including major hotel restaurants, caterers, guest houses, golf clubs, old age homes and private households. As many of our clients' businesses operate differently, we cut, manufacture and pack their meat according to their individual requirements. The business is built on strong relationships, trust and integrity. We strive to stay ahead as the meat industry is very competitive and it's imperative to us that we are innovative, creative and continuously introduce new products to our existing and new clientele.

It’s time for meaty and Rich the butcher has some advice: Want your meat to stay fresher for longer? Here’s how:

✅ Refrigerate quickly: Store fresh meat in the fridge as soon as you get home.
✅ Seal it tight: Use airtight containers or freezer bags to prevent air exposure and contamination.
✅ Know your times: Fresh meat should be used within 2–3 days, while frozen cuts can last for months if properly stored.
✅ Label & date: Always mark what it is and when you froze it, so nothing gets forgotten at the back of the freezer!

Want your meat to feel extra tender? 🔪

Look for the direction of the muscle fibres and slice across them, rather than along them. This shortens the fibres and makes every bite easier to chew.
