Looking for a stunning place to stay in the Natal Midlands? You are welcome to rent our cottage. Serviced twice weekly with linen provided. Minimum 2 night stay. re Estate. There are 5 well stocked trout dams and 5km of river fishing. Trout fishing policy and regulations are available from Owners of Riverview Cottage. Birding is in abundance for the bird lovers. Hiking and walking trails, as well as challenging mountain biking terrain are also available for the energetic. Riverview Cottage is situated appx 18 kms outside the town of Nottingham Road which is on the well-known Midlands Meander. It is only 1 hour and
30 minutes drive from Durban. Views of the foothills of the famous Drakensberg Mountains can be seen from the veranda of the cottage – sometimes snow-capped in winter! Below the cottage is the meandering Mooi River alongside which you can picnic and rest under shady trees or tempt that elusive trout with a fly of your choice. The only hooting and ‘barking’ you will hear is that of the Owl and Jackal! Riverview Cottage is surrounded by indigenous gardens and veld which are home to a few species of game. The cottage sleeps 8 people. There are four bedrooms. Two ensuite downstairs, which have queen beds and full bathrooms. The upstairs bedrooms are loft rooms, which accommodate two people in three quarter beds and the other, three people in single beds. These bedrooms share a bathroom with shower, basin and
toilet. Riverview Cottage has a large open plan kitchen, dining and lounge area which opens out onto an enormous veranda through sliding folding doors. The veranda wraps around the cottage framing the panoramic views. The kitchen is fully equipped. There is a gas stove with large oven, dishwasher, microwave and fridge/freezer. A gas braai is also available for your use on the deck. In the lounge area, there is a large indoor fireplace which is designed with braai facilities. This is fabulous on those cold winter/rainy days! The cottage is tiled through. A CD player with I-Pod docking station and Aux input are available, as well as full DSTV for your convenience. No need to bring your smartcard. Please WhatsApp us for our rates. There is a minimum requirement of a two night stay, and where long weekends are concerned, 3 nights. A breakage deposit is required and pre-payment complete before arrival. Regret no Pets allowed. Riverview Cottage is serviced on Monday and Friday mornings – this is included. Servicing over the weekend will be additional.

On the 1 September, the section of the Mooi River that flows through the Bend has not been fished for 4 months. An opportunity for all those avid fly fishermen to catch some big trout! The river has been cleared of all old trees and is looking beautiful. Pay for 2 nights and get the third night at 50%!
