The MKR property is available for your enjoyment. The reserve has more than 32 km’s of cut grass tracks making exploring the land easy to do for mountain bikers, runners and hikers. Take your 4x4, quad bike, or off-road bike for a spin on the South Side. Bring along your horse (stables and paddocks are available on request) and explore the area, including the local beaches and cliffs from horsebac

Swim in any of the dams or reservoirs you come across, watch the natural elements of the area from the comfort of your accommodation, picnic by the dam or along the river, spend the night around one of the ‘Game of Throne’s fire pits’ while watching the stars and be sure not to miss the famous Mkulu Kei sunsets. If you feel inclined to ever leave, beyond the fences of the farm, there is so much more to explore. MKR is a short 12 km drive to the sleepy towns of Kei Mouth and Morgan Bay, and further afield the popular destinations of Haga Haga and Chintsa. These areas are popular tourist spots which offer family friendly beaches, superb fishing (either from the beach or cliffs), (not so) secret surf spots, and various lagoons and swimming holes safe for everyone. Once you have had enough of the beach and the crowds, get out of the sun and relax on the farm, while your children continue exploring. For a Transkei adventure cross the Kei River via the pont found in Kei Mouth, or check out the beaches of Gonubie and Double Mouth, look for treasures at Bead Beach, hike along the HagMorKei coast or explore it from horseback. The general area is also fantastic for adventure bikes with its tarred twisties and gravel roads - leave your 4x4s, trailers, and the family, at the farm while you go scout the area. Morgan Bay's famous Dolerite Cliffs, the Krantzes, which drop over 60 metres into the pounding surf, are ideal for sundowners and or majestic views of the Indian Ocean. Other activities in the area can be arranged on request include a game of golf, dolphin/whale watching, hiking and nature trails, rock climbing, surfing, canoeing, horse riding, game viewing, a river booze cruise and bird watching along the Kei River. Please note that this is a working farm and along with that there remains an element of caution. Wandering livestock (horses, cows, bulls) and dogs, along with the natural wildlife remains out of our element to control. The farm is filled with open water troughs, reservoirs dams, and pits, everything that goes with being on a large property. Please be cautious and remain aware during your stay, and remember that by passing through the gate you acknowledge the Ts&Cs of the property, as sign posted. The farm does not have any TV’s or WiFi in any of the units.
