Farm view early this morning. It was ice cold and exquisitely beautiful.

Had to give my car door a couple of solid yanks before it would open because it was iced shut. Winter is definitively here.

Saving dahlia seeds. As these glorious, multicoloured jewels started dying back in late autumn and early winter, we let some flowers go to seed. It’s always a lucky dip growing dahlia from seed pollinated by bees in an open growing space. You never quite know what you’re going to get, which is part of the fun. Come spring we’ll start these seeds and see what arrives. Wish us luck!
