Pomegranate Juice – 100% pure pomegranate juice, nothing added. We freeze our juice to preserve its freshness and avoid the need for preservatives. Naturally packed with antioxidants and goodness.

Pomegranate Reduction – Sweet and tangy, and delicious over cheese, yoghurt, meat or ice cream.

Karoo Rouge Pomegranate Liqueur – Enjoy it neat, over ice or mixed into cocktails. Our favourite? The Pom Pedro with vanilla ice cream!

Pomegranate Cream Cheese flapjacks

Ingredients

For the flapjacks:

1 cup flour
2 tbsp sugar
1 tsp baking powder
½ tsp salt
1 egg
¾ cup milk
2 tbsp melted butter
1 tsp vanilla extract

For the filling:

250 g cream cheese
2 tbsp icing sugar
1 tsp vanilla extract

To serve
• Karoo Wonderful Pomegranate Reduction
• Fresh pomegranate arils
• Fresh mint

Method:
Make the flapjacks: Mix the flour, sugar, baking powder and salt. In a separate bowl, whisk together the egg, milk, melted butter and vanilla. Combine the wet and dry ingredients until just mixed.

Heat a lightly buttered pan over medium heat. Cook small flapjacks for about 1–2 minutes per side, until golden brown.

Make the filling: Beat the cream cheese, icing sugar and vanilla until smooth and creamy.

Assemble: Spread a layer of cream cheese filling between the flapjacks and stack them.

Finish: Drizzle Karoo Wonderful Pomegranate Reduction over the flapjacks and top with fresh pomegranate arils and mint.

Serves 2 🥞
