Hi Oudtshoorniete β€οΈ
Four days without electricity caused so much loss for so many of us. At A.A Fish Traders, we had to throw away snoek that could no longer be kept, and whatever was still suitable for consumption, we chose to give to people rather than let it go to waste.
I ended up eating crayfish potjie like it was Christmas! ππ¦ But behind the laughter was a very difficult few days.
Customers were waiting for waybills and orders that I simply could not process. Drivers were standing around not knowing where to go because we couldn't print stickers. Business came to a complete standstill, and financially, the loss was huge.
But what can we do?
Restart. Rebuild. Keep going. πͺβ€οΈ
Oudtshoorn, we know many families are hurting right now. We know the struggles this outage has caused, and although we cannot fix everything, A.A Fish Traders would like to give back in the little way that we can.
Tomorrow, at our stand in Bridgeton, there will be bread available for collection. It isn't much, but it's something from us to our community. β€οΈπ₯
And now, we are getting back to business! ππ₯
Our suppliers are on their way to Oudtshoorn as we speak.
π Fresh Snoek
π¦ Fresh Tails
π₯ Friday: DroΓ« Snoek, Olie Snoek & Sout Snoek will be available again!
Thank you to every single person who called, checked in, offered help, supported us and understood during these difficult days.
We appreciate you more than you know.
Oudtshoorn, let's start again. Together. β€οΈ
