South Africa may not top the charts of global w**e production, but its footprint on the world stage is far larger than its size suggests. According to 2025 data from the OIV - International Organisation of Vine and W**e (OIV) and the South African W**e Industry Information and Systems (SAWIS), the country has carved out a durable position as one of the world’s most significant w**e-producing and exporting nations.
