5th in my age category at parkrun this week - my first one in a long time. 🏃♀️
Not the fastest runner there and not the oldest or the youngest, nor the slowest! But I’m proud.
At 30, it’s easy to assume you’ll always be able to run, move, lift, and bounce back in the way you do now. Staying active at 57 takes intention, consistency, resilience, and a lot of showing up on the days you don’t feel like it.
Every decade brings new challenges, but it also brings an opportunity to keep proving to yourself what’s possible.
So when you see someone in their 50s, 60s, 70s or beyond out walking, running, cycling, swimming or strength training, remember that you’re seeing much more than a workout. You’re seeing years of habits, commitment and determination.
The habits you build in your 30s become the strength, independence and vitality you carry into later life.
Keep moving. Your future self will thank you for it. 🌿
