The oldest family business in the world was founded in 719 AD in Japan, while South Africa's oldest family-owned business, Boplaas 1743 Estate, is over 280 years old.

The team on Marlenique farm kicked off with harvesting oranges today 🍊🍊🍊

The M7 is a premium Australian ultra-early, seedless navel orange variety discovered in 2004. It is renowned for its high sugar content and excellent eating quality. With a few exceptions like these, M7 navel oranges generally have an average fruit weight of approximately 350 grams per fruit.

Did you know?
To test sugar content in fruit, we use a Brix (°Bx) refractometer. It measures the sugar content in a liquid solution, representing the percentage of sucrose (sugar) by weight (1 gram of sugar per 100 grams of solution).

We’ve been farming in the Koue Bokkeveld for 283 years, passing down the values of honesty and perseverance through 11 generations.

We are immensely proud of our history, but we know that a legacy this deep isn't built alone. Our success is thanks to our dedicated and hard-working team—many of whom have also been part of the Boplaas 1743 family for generations. 🤝🌳

Baie geluk aan die Boplaas Wolves! 🏏🔥 Harde werk wórd beloon.

Hierdie was die Boplaas Wolves se vierde seisoen in die krieketliga – en wat ’n ongelooflike reis was dit nie!

Seisoen 1: Laaste geëindig en geen wedstryde gewen nie.

Seisoen 2: Die span se eerste oorwinning – ’n groot mylpaal!

Seisoen 3: Deurgedring na die semi-finaal, maar ongelukkig daar uitgeskakel.

Seisoen 4: Bo-aan die punteleer geëindig, 8 uit 10 wedstryde gewen en outomaties vir die finaal gekwalifiseer!

In die finaal het hulle teen die Pniel Knights te staan gekom – dieselfde span wat hulle verlede jaar in die semi-finaal uitgeskakel het. Hierdie keer het die Wolves hul merk gemaak en met 30 lopies gewen om as kampioene gekroon te word! 🏆

Ons manne wat nie net hard werk nie, maar ook hard speel, is:
Jean Hendricks, Jandre Jullies, Dewald Daniels, Vernon Wilson, Wesley Solomons, Curtleigh Moses, Gary Williams en Trompie Rudolf.

Dankie ook aan Juan Jones en Quewin Rudolf wat saam met ons speel en deel is van hierdie sukses.

’n Spesiale woord van waardering aan Trompie wat help met die bestuur van die span én die vervoer van ons spelers. Jou bydrae maak ’n groot verskil!
