Fairview is first and foremost a producer of a range of wines and it is this heritage that supports and underpins all other activities. Over the past twenty years, Fairview has developed a respected and awarded cheese business, initially focused on goats' milk production but today producing a large range of Jersey cows' milk products too. The cellar door experience is focused on a real winelands e

xperience, with a simple offering of wine and cheese tasting, cellar door sales and a farm eatery. The difference at Fairview is the attitude of the people who work here, making it one of the most visited farms in the winelands.

When it comes to Grenache, most wine enthusiasts immediately think of Grenache red wine, or Grenache Noir. Yet, as a dedicated Fairview follower, you're already in on the secret, the lesser known, but equally captivating, Grenache Blanc!

While it might not boast the fame of Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc or Chenin Blanc, Grenache Blanc has quietly carved out its place in the South African market, offering a range of delightful expressions.

The grapes for our Fairview Grenache Blanc were harvested early and whole-bunch pressed to keep fruit purity. Fermentation took place in stainless steel and older French oak, with extended lees contact for gentle texture. After 10 months, the final blend shows freshness and a soft, rounded finish.
