Meet Mulligan! This is an Intermediate Bearded Iris by Sutton (2015). This little iris has rebloomed twice for us since arriving from the US end of last year. Intermediate bearded irises are shorter and smaller in stature than the tall bearded iris we’re all familiar with. They also bloom a bit earlier extending the bloom season beautifully.

How incredible is the detail on this iris? This is ‘Inked In’ from (Blyth, 2021). The near black hafts around the beard draws you in only to see the fine detail along the fall margins and ribs of the standards. This one is now a firm favourite of mine!
