Porex SA has been part of the SA Young Wine Show journey for years now, and honestly, it never gets old. We love celebrating our young wines and the craft of our winemakers.

Last night was extra special for us. Getting to raise a glass, share a laugh, and catch up with so many good friends, colleagues, and client partners under one roof is always the real highlight. Doing it all at Elsenburg Agricultural College made it feel even more like home—a place where so many winemaking journeys actually begin.

A massive congratulations to all this year’s winners! Your hard work and passion in every bottle made every award so deserved. Cheers to an exceptional vintage, the great team behind it, and to many more nights like this together!

Last week the Porex SA team had the opportunity to spend the morning learning from Alessandro Fornassier and gaining a deeper understanding of the Libero & Reduco dealcoholization systems.

It was great to see how this technology can achieve partial or total dealcoholization while preserving the original character of the wine.

As the demand for low- and no-alcohol wines continues to grow, we're proud to offer innovative solutions that help support the South African wine industry.

A big thank you to Alessandro for sharing his knowledge and expertise. Looking forward to putting what we've learned into practice and continuing to support our customers with the latest technology.

We hosted a seminar this morning on lees recovery. It was great to share results from real trials, as well as data collected from wineries using our equipment. Seeing the impact in working cellars always makes the discussion more meaningful. We wrapped up the morning with a braai and a tasting of German wines. Thanks to everyone who joined us and contributed to a great day!

La Cantina Pizzolato, a family-owned organic winery with a long-standing focus on quality, sustainability, and innovation, is among the producers actively exploring this segment.

Building on a long-standing collaboration, the winery partnered with Omnia Technologies to explore the potential of no-alcohol wines through Libero Wine, our dealcoholization technology designed to preserve the wine’s character throughout the process.
