Mpila Leisure Mopani "MPILA" is the name given to a plant with many healing properties for animals and humans alike. It is derived from the Zula/Xhosa word "MPILO" which means life.

🌿 We’re Back in the Bush! 🐘🔥

Good news from the wild side… Mpila Mopani is officially back in action! While our main kitchen catches its breath, we’ve set up camp in a temporary bush-style facility and we’re ready to welcome you again.

Things may be a little more rustic than usual (think less silver service, more safari charm), and our menu is currently limited — but the flavours are still as bold as a buffalo and the coffee as strong as a ranger’s handshake.

So swing by, stretch your legs, and enjoy a bite with us. The fires are lit, the pans are hot, the beverages are cold, and the bush is calling.

We might be running a little lighter, but we’re serving up plenty of heart ❤️

🚧 Restaurant Update – Mopani 🌿

Our restaurant at Mopani Rest Camp has had a little unexpected swim thanks to some water damage, and is temporarily closed while we dry things out and get everything back in shipshape condition. 🦒☕

We know… even lions get grumpy when they’re hungry, so we sincerely apologize for the inconvenience!

The good news? Temporary facilities are in the pipeline and will be popping up soon — quicker than a warthog spotting leftovers! 🐗

While we get things sorted, thank you for your patience and sense of humour. After all, this is the wild heart of the Kruger National Park — where sometimes even restaurants go on safari.

We’ll be back serving smiles (and meals) before you can say “another round of coffees please!” ☕✨
