We are looking for a skilled Maintenance Fitter to join our team and ensure that our plant and equipment operate at peak performance.
Key Responsibilities:
• Carry out routine maintenance, fault-finding, and repair of milling plant equipment and machinery.
• Install, align, and commission new equipment as required.
• Inspect machinery to detect wear, defects, or potential breakdowns and take corrective action.
• Ensure minimum downtime through proactive and preventative maintenance.
• Work closely with production teams to resolve mechanical issues quickly and effectively.
• Keep accurate records of all maintenance and repair work.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and food safety standards.
Requirements:
• Trade Tested Fitter (Red Seal qualification essential).
• Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in a manufacturing/industrial environment (maize milling or food processing experience advantageous).
• Strong knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and manuals.
• Good problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
• Willingness to work shifts, overtime, and standby when required.
