Lepelle Northern Water (LNW) joined the Capricorn District Municipality (CDM) Mayorsโ Intergovernmental Relations (IGR) site visit to the Olifantspoort Scheme Infrastructure Refurbishment and Upgrade Project.
The visit commenced with a briefing session at Ga-Mphahlele Royal Community Hall, attended by Kgoshi M.T. Phatudi Mphahlele. Representing CDM, MMC for Infrastructure Cllr Monica Mohale highlighted the purpose of the visit, aimed to assess project progress, identify outstanding needs and ensure the successful completion of the project, while maximising benefits for the local community.
LNW, led by the Board Deputy Chairperson Mr Dewet Monakedi and CEO Dr Cornelius Ruiters, together with Engineering, Operations and Maintenance Management, provided an overview of the refurbishment, current project status and future plans before leading the delegation on a plant tour.
LNW reiterated its commitment to local socio-economic development and enhanced water service delivery. As the project advances, LNW will continue to collaborate with the Royal Council and local business forums to identify further opportunities for local participation and maximise community benefits.
