Lepelle Northern Water (LNW), in collaboration with the Department of Water and Sanitation (DWS) Limpopo Regional Office, made a quick stop at Famandha Secondary School and Kheto Nxumayo High School in Greater Giyani Municipality, to support matriculants as they prepare and sit for their final examinations, through donation of essential supplies to support the schools’ Matric Camps, and examination packs for the matric learners, providing them with practical resources and encouragement as they enter this crucial phase of their academic journey.

Limpopo Premier Dr Phophi Ramathuba, pronounced a total of 𝐑𝟏𝟑𝟖.𝟒𝟑 𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐢𝐨𝐧 in investment pledges raised at the 6th Limpopo Investment Conference (LIC 2026), reaffirming the province’s ambition to attract investment, accelerate economic growth and unlock opportunities for socio-economic development.

Participating in the 6th Limpopo Investment Conference (LIC 2026), held at The Ranch Hotel in Polokwane, Lepelle Northern Water (LNW) led by the Board Chairperson Dr Nndweleni Mphephu, continues to demonstrate commitment to supporting investment and advancing sustainable economic development in the province.

Held under the theme “From Pledges to Progress: Accelerating Implementation and Unlocking Investment in Limpopo,” the conference brought together key stakeholders from government, public entities and the private sector, focusing on translating investment commitments into tangible economic outcomes.

Hosted by Limpopo Provincial Government Premier Dr Phophi Ramathuba, addressed by the Deputy President Paulus Mashatile, the conference emphasised the importance of converting investment pledges into meaningful results, creating sustainable employment opportunities and improving livelihoods. Calling for stronger collaboration among municipalities, public entities and other stakeholders, the Deputy President highlighted the need to build investor confidence and address barriers to investment. Further strengthening the province’s investment landscape, he officiated the launch of the InvestSA One Stop Shop in Limpopo.

Contributing to discussions on the province’s economic infrastructure priorities, LNW Chief Executive Officer, Dr Cornelius Ruiters, participated in a panel discussion titled “Key Economic Network Infrastructure to Enable Limpopo Industrialisation and Ways to Facilitate its Delivery.” Highlighting the strategic importance of reliable bulk water infrastructure, the discussion underscored water security as a critical enabler of industrialisation, investment attraction and sustainable economic growth.

Demonstrating institutional commitment to the province’s development agenda, LNW delegation included the Chief Financial Officer Stanley Ramalatso, Executive Manager Engineering Services Aluwani Gangashe, and Chief Project Engineer Gundo Motsoare . LNW’s exhibition stand also provided a platform for strengthening relationships and promoting the organisation’s role as a sustainable bulk water service provider.

Lepelle Northern Water (LNW), led by the Board Chairperson Dr Nndweleni Mphephu and the Chief Executive Officer Dr Cornelius Ruiters, today held a strategic engagement with the MEC for Cooperative Governance, Human Settlements and Traditional Affairs (CoGHSTA), Mr P**e Shai, at the department’s offices in Polokwane.

The engagement focused on municipal debt recovery plan, infrastructure expansion strategies, operational challenges and opportunities to strengthen collaboration towards improving bulk water provision. LNW leadership highlighted the positive relations with supplied municipalities, underpinned by ongoing engagements to address challenges, explore solutions and enhance service delivery.

During the meeting, MEC Shai proposed a joint engagement between LNW and all supplied municipalities, with each municipality’s specific challenges to be discussed individually. This initiative aims to deepen understanding of the underlying issues affecting water service delivery and facilitate the development of practical, sustainable solutions through collective action.

The engagement reaffirmed the importance of strong intergovernmental relations and strategic partnerships in addressing operational challenges, supporting infrastructure development and advancing water security across LNW’s areas of operation.

Through continued collaboration with government and municipalities, LNW remains committed to fulfilling its mandate as a Sustainable Bulk Water Service Provider, working towards reliable and sustainable bulk water services for communities

LNW CONFIRMS RESTORATION OF WATER SUPPLY FOLLOWING THEFT AND VANDALISM AT KGAPANE BOOSTER PUMP STATION

Lepelle Northern Water (LNW) is pleased to inform the affected communities that water supply at Kgapane Booster Pump Station in Mopani District Municipality, has been restored over the weekend, from Saturday the 10th of October 2026, following the completion of remedial interventions.

The restoration follows an incident of theft and vandalism that occurred on 27 September 2026, where critical electrical and mechanical components were stolen, rendering the pump station temporarily inoperable and disrupting the pumping of water to Kgapane Reservoir.

Following the incident, LNW initiated technical assessments and prioritised the necessary interventions to restore the pump station to operation. The successful restoration marks an important step towards normalising water supply to the affected areas.

LNW appreciates the patience, understanding and cooperation demonstrated by affected communities during the disruption. We acknowledge the inconvenience caused and sincerely apologise to residents who were affected.

While water supply has been restored, LNW reiterates its call to communities and members of the public to protect critical water infrastructure against theft and vandalism. Such criminal acts undermine service delivery, disrupt essential water services and negatively affect the communities that depend on this infrastructure.

Lepelle Northern Water (LNW), wishes to inform members of the public and affected communities that 𝐰𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐬𝐮𝐩𝐩𝐥𝐲 𝐡𝐚𝐬 𝐛𝐞𝐞𝐧 𝐬𝐮𝐜𝐜𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐟𝐮𝐥𝐥𝐲 𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐞𝐝, following the completion of the scheduled leak repair works at the Ebenezer Water Treatment Plant.

The repairs were 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐥𝐞𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐬𝐜𝐡𝐞𝐝𝐮𝐥𝐞𝐝 𝐭𝐢𝐦𝐞𝐟𝐫𝐚𝐦𝐞, and the water supply system has been fully restored. The Plant is back to full operation and is 𝐬𝐮𝐩𝐩𝐥𝐲𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫 𝟒𝟒 𝐌𝐋/𝐝𝐚𝐲 𝐭𝐨 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐂𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐨𝐟 𝐏𝐨𝐥𝐨𝐤𝐰𝐚𝐧𝐞.
