Today, Lepelle Northern Water (LNW) is showcasing its services at the Limpopo Provincial Government Youth Day Commemoration underway at N’wamitwa Village, Greater Tzaneen Municipality.
LNW interacted with young people on career opportunities within the water sector, while also educating community members on water conservation, responsible water management, and services offered by the organisation.
The event, addressed by Limpopo Premier Dr Phophi Ramathuba, who encouraged young people to draw inspiration from the youth of 1976 by demonstrating resilience, courage, and a commitment to seizing opportunities. She highlighted various Provincial Government initiatives, including established skills development centres and empowerment programmes aimed at equipping young people with the tools needed to succeed.
The Premier further emphasised opportunities such as the Limpopo Youth Fund Innovation Programme and mining-related training initiatives designed to enhance youth skills and employability. She urged the youth to use June 16 as a source of motivation to pursue their aspirations, build sustainable businesses, create employment opportunities, and contribute towards the growth and development of Limpopo.
LNW remains committed to empowering communities, especially young people, through meaningful engagements that promote awareness, skills development, and a sustainable water future. In line with this year’s theme: “Reset@50 - The future calls: our national commitment to the future, for Freedom lives in every generation”.
