COURT ESTABLISHES THAT MOLOTO AND RACHIDI WERE IN A ROMANTIC RELATIONSHIP
POLOKWANE: The Polokwane High Court has established that Phillimon Moloto and Molebogeng Rachidi were in a romantic relationship prior to the arson incident.
The 51 - year old Moloto appeared before the Seshego and Polokwane Magistrate’s Courts on charges of arson and malicious damage to property on Monday.
It is alleged that the owner of Moloto LADGAC vandalized and burnt the signature sign board of Lebo LADGAC which is based in Ladanna, Polokwane.
The Polokwane Magistrate’s Court heard that Moloto and Rachidi were previously in a romantic and business relationship before they split.
However, reasons for the damage to property could not be established as they form part of police's ongoing investigations.
The mother of Lebo Rachidi, Elizabeth spoke to the media outside court, giving direction to the already tense situation between the accused and the complainant
"Moloto and Molebogeng broke up when Moloto removed her from the close cooperation agreement which also involved another business partner in the form of Agi Makhura," said Elizabeth
Rachidi said that the breakdown has seen the rehabilitation centre splitting into three parts, with one owned by Makhura, the other Moloto and the last one operated by Lebo.
Moloto was granted R50 000 bail in the matter and is expected back before court on 22nd September.
