The Farm Stall Port Edward
🌿❤️ MEET THE WOMAN BEHIND THE FARMSTALL PORT EDWARD ❤️🌿
Jolene Hooper — Businesswoman, shop owner, community supporter and proud keeper of a family legacy. 🛍️🌿
The Farmstall Port Edward has been in our family since 1965. ❤️
What started with my grandparents, Eric & Shirley Hooper, was later carried on by my late Dad Glenham Eric Hooper — and today, I am incredibly proud to continue the family journey and keep their legacy alive. ❤️
I’m Jolene Hooper, and The Farmstall Port Edward is so much more than just a shop to me.
It’s my passion.
It’s my hard work.
It’s my family history.
It’s my way of supporting other small businesses.
And most importantly, it’s a place with a BIG heart. ❤️
🌿 SUPPORTING LOCAL IS AT THE HEART OF WHAT I DO 🌿
Inside my little shop
We are proudly known for our bananas ,nuts honey and gluten sensitive Sourdough frozen bread and I proudly support local farmers, crafters, home businesses and other small businesses by giving their products a place on my shelves.
From fresh local produce when available, homemade and handmade goodies, clothing, jewellery, gifts and so much more — I love being able to bring my customers a little bit of everything while helping other small businesses grow too. 🥬🍯👗💍🎁
But there is also a whole other side of The Farmstall that happens behind the scenes… ❤️
📚 BOOKS, CDS, DVDS & PUZZLES
People donate books, CDs, DVDs and puzzles to me, and I sort through them. Some books are sold, while many are donated to schools, children, families and people in our community so that others can read, learn and enjoy them.
I also allow people to swap books, CDs and DVDs, giving things a second life instead of letting them go to waste. 📚❤️
🧶 WOOL & NEEDLES FOR A PURPOSE 🧶
I also collect wool and knitting needles for ladies in our community who use them to make beautiful jerseys, beanies, gloves, scarves and blanket squares. 🧶❤️
What may look like a simple ball of wool or an old pair of needles can become something warm and special for someone who needs it.
👙 USED BRA COLLECTION POINT
I also have a used bra collection point, where bras are collected and donated to ladies in need. ❤️
These are just some of the things that happen quietly behind the scenes at The Farmstall Port Edward.
Because for me, running a business isn't only about selling products.
It's about people.
It's about community.
It's about helping where I can.
It's about supporting local.
And it's about making a difference — even in small ways. ❤️🌿
Being a businesswoman isn't always easy. There are long days, early mornings, late nights, challenges, difficult decisions and plenty of moments when you wonder how you're going to manage it all.
But I keep going. 💪❤️
I keep building.
I keep believing.
And I keep working to make The Farmstall Port Edward something special.
I am incredibly proud of how far our little family business has come, and I’m excited for everything still to come. 🌿❤️
To every single person who has supported me and my small business — THANK YOU. 🙏❤️
When you support The Farmstall Port Edward, you aren't only supporting me and my family…
You are supporting the many other small businesses, farmers, crafters and local people whose products find a home in my shop too. ❤️
