Brinjal Bhajia...aka batter fried eggplant 🍆 I made some at the shop earlier.

I wouldn't say I'm a fan of brinjals, I'll eat it but not often, except when it's in dhal and when it's made like this. Hubby loves it too, but he prefers sliced potatoes, battered & fried...like his late mom used to make & for him, mine will never taste the same🫠

If you're not a fan of brinjals too, this is a fun way to make a quick yummy snack that's Gluten free cos I use pea flour and it's vegetarian & vegan friendly.

We grew up eating this in Pietermaritzburg but my mom used the big brinjals. For me, it doesn't really matter so long as the brinjals are hard & sturdy.

It's perfect for those of fasting now too😁

Happy Friday 😁

It's been another hectic day, so no pics, quick videos of my meals instead.

Check out these sizzling Prawns. Between yesterday & this morning, I was already sold out with pre-orders on the Creamy Garlic Prawn Curry.

Another order going out at 5pm & then I 've got 2 portions of Veg Biryani with dhal & salad (SpecialPrice R70) left.

My orders are out & now I'm having a bit of a breather & a cup of tea🍵

It's my 2nd time making my own Jalebis ( Indian sweet treat) & this time, I'm 💯 with how they turned out.

Then I made potato chilli bites & spinach chilli bites and 1 of my customers ordered 2 doz samoosas too.

All in all, it's been a good day.
