Hello, wonderful followers! We are Laurika and Chef Francois Binneman, the dynamic husband-and-wife team behind Food with Thought, your go-to destination for mouthwatering, heartfelt, and thoughtfully crafted meals. Our culinary journey began in 2015 when we met at the airport, both on

our way to pursue our dreams in the vibrant hospitality industry in America. Since then, we've been inseparable, sharing our passion for great food and unforgettable experiences. In 2018, we founded Food with Thought, and in 2021, we officially became partners in life. Our recipes are a tribute to our love and the beautiful moments we've shared together. Chef Francois, the culinary genius behind our creations, has been my rock and inspiration. His incredible skills and unwavering support fuel our kitchen's creativity. Daar is min dinge so troosryk soos die geur van vars piesangbrood wat in die oond bak.

Hierdie weergawe kry ’n klein Food with Thought-draai met vars vye en gesoute gemengde neute – die perfekte balans tussen soet, sag en ’n bietjie krakerigheid.

Dis die tipe brood wat jy sny terwyl dit nog effens warm is, met ’n koppie koffie of tee… en skielik is almal om die tafel.

Piesangbrood met Vars Vye en Gesoute Gemengde Neute

Bestanddele
• 5 oorryp piesangs (fyngedruk)
• 125 g botter (gesmelt)
• 1 koppie suiker
• 2 eiers
• 1 teelepel vanielje-ekstrak
• 2 koppies koekmeel
• 1 teelepel koeksoda
• ½ teelepel sout
• ½ koppie melk
• 1 handvol vars vye (gekap)
• ½ koppie gemengde gesoute neute (grof gekap)

Metode
1. Voorverhit die oond tot 180 °C.
2. Druk die 5 oorryp piesangs goed fyn in ’n groot mengbak.
3. Meng die gesmelte botter en suiker by die piesangs.
4. Klits die eiers en vanielje by die mengsel in.
5. Sif die koekmeel, koeksoda en sout saam.
6. Meng die droë bestanddele by die piesangmengsel en voeg die melk by.
7. Vou die vars gekapte vye en gemengde gesoute neute liggies by die beslag in.
8. Spuit ’n broodpan goed met oondbaksproei en gooi die beslag daarin.
9. Bak vir 50–60 minute tot ’n toetspen skoon uitkom.
10. Laat effens afkoel, sny in skywe en geniet.

It’s been a little quiet on this page… and that’s because we’ve been incredibly blessed and wonderfully busy behind the scenes. 🙏🏻✨

At Food with Thought, every table we set, every menu we create, and every event we cater is something we pour our hearts into. The past few months have been filled with beautiful celebrations, meaningful gatherings, and many unforgettable meals shared around the table.

Behind the scenes, we’ve also been soaking up precious time with our little Anna as she grows so quickly. Balancing family life and our passion for food has made this season even more special.
