Starting a home bakery teaches you a LOT more than how to bake. 🩵

I wish someone had sat me down before I started Steep Bakes and explained that being a good baker and running a profitable business are two completely different skill sets.
You can make beautiful cakes and still undercharge. You can love what you do and still need boundaries. And you can have a vision for your business without having all the money, equipment or experience to make it happen immediately.

These are three lessons I'd take seriously from day one.

Home bakers, what's one thing you wish you'd known before taking your first order? Let's give the next baker a head start. 👇🏻

Sometimes you don’t need a reason for cake… you just need CAKE. 🍰🤎

And if you’re already thinking about your next slice, consider this your sign to book your next cake with Steep Bakes. 👀🩷

But first, let’s settle something… if you could only eat ONE cake flavour for the rest of your life, what are you choosing? 👇🏻

🍫 Chocolate
❤️ Red velvet
🤍 Vanilla
🍋 Lemon
☕ White mocha
💬 Or is it something else entirely?

I’m reading the comments, Steepies! 🩵 And if your next celebration needs a cake, you know where to find us. 😉

Stop comparing your chapter 7 to someone else’s chapter 15🙈

Keep going. Even when it’s slow.
Keep showing up. Even when nobody seems to notice.
Keep standing up for what you believe in, even when it’s uncomfortable.
Take up space. Say what you mean. Let yourself be seen.
And keep building what you’re building, even if it doesn’t look like what you imagined just yet🩵
