The High Court has rejected Prophet Walter Magaya’s appeal against his disqualification from running for the position of ZIFA president. The ruling was made ahead of the ZIFA elections scheduled for January 25. Magaya was disqualified for failing to meet the minimum educational requirement set by the electoral committee.

High Court Judge Justice Tawanda Chitapi has dismissed Walter Magaya's application for review of his disqualification.

The judge said Magaya was not candid with the court after he failed to produce his ordinary-level certification and there was nothing grossly unreasonable in his disqualification.
