An asylum seeker was reportedly arrested at the Durban Refugee Centre after someone heard him talking about killing a March and March leader , Jacinta Zinhle MaNgobese Zuma.

The man, who is of Asian origin, allegedly made the death threats while waiting in a documentation queue on Moore Road. Police quickly stepped in, locked him up, and he will now face criminal charges for the threats

They are so entitled and determined that they are willing to kill us for our land then you hear some of our people saying they want to r**e and kill leaders of certain organisations. Its worrying

A man from Ntombe, Verulam, was severely beaten yesterday. The man went to another household carrying his 9-month-old baby. He handed the baby to the mother of the child, named Nompilo. He told her that he wanted them to sleep with the baby because the baby’s mother, who is his girlfriend, had gone to drink at a tavern and the baby was left in his care.
The woman agreed and said she would look after the baby and that they could collect the child in the morning.
The man then asked a 15-year-old child from that household to accompany him to go and buy nappies for the baby. They agreed. When the 15-year-old did not return, the family went to the man’s home and found him ra**ng the 15-year-old child.
The man was then beaten, and his house was set on fire.

The woman found murdered near Hebron Taxi Rank this morning lebitso la g*e ke Tsholo. She was reportedly a resident of Hebron in Block E.
Another resident claimed that they heard a scuffle and screaming in the early hours of the morning but did not pay attention. The community was shocked when they woke up to the lifeless body of this woman today.
