⚽ LAUDIUM LFA DISTRICT U16 — SONCINI 2026 TRIALISTS ⚽
A proud moment for the Laudium LFA District Under-16 team as a talented group of young footballers have been selected to continue on the Soncini 2026 trial journey, with the opportunity to earn a place in the Tshwane U16 Team that will take part in the Soncini Games at the end of October 2026.
This weekend marks the next important step in the selection process, when the Laudium LFA District U16 team will take on Olivenhoutbosch in an exciting and competitive encounter. The match will give the players another opportunity to showcase their football ability, teamwork, discipline, determination and understanding of the game as the selection process for the Tshwane Team continues.
District Coach Ziyaad Mahomed expressed his pride not only in the players who have been selected to continue, but in every U16 player who came out and participated in the Laudium LFA District trials.
“I am extremely proud of all the players who came out for the trials and gave themselves an opportunity. It takes courage to put yourself forward, compete and show what you can do. Congratulations to the players who have been selected to continue. You have earned this opportunity, but the journey is not finished yet. Keep working hard, remain humble and give everything you have every time you step onto the field.”
The Soncini pathway provides an exciting opportunity for young players. Those who impress during the district selection process can earn a place in the Tshwane U16 Team and represent Tshwane at the Soncini Games at the end of October.
The opportunity can go even further. Players who stand out and are selected at the Soncini Games may have the chance to be chosen to play in Italy, giving them an incredible opportunity to experience football on an international stage.
For these young players, every training session and every match is therefore another opportunity to take a step forward in their football journey.
