Today's Sandwich of the week is all the way from South Africa - A KOTA. A kota is a uniquely Johannesburg sandwich which is made from hollowed out quarter loaf of bread and filled with chips, sausages, eggs, beef patty, cheese, deli meats and mango pickle or spicy atchaar.

Our Sandwich of the week is from Yard RestoBar in Soweto, a Smashburger Kota which came about on a customer's insistence to have their favourite burger in the form of a Kota.

The sandwich contains a beef smash patty, smoked bacon rashers, crisp lettuce, red onion, potato chips, Mango Atchaar, smoked vienna sausage and a Smoked Russian sausage topped with a sunny-side up egg.
