South Africa’s National Shiraz Day falls on 21 August, kicking off the annual Seven Days of Celebrating Shiraz, running from 21 to 28 August.

Managed by Shiraz SA, this winter celebration puts the spotlight on the versatility of South African Shiraz through tastings, food pairings and w**ery events across the Cape W**elands, and we’re joining in with two specially selected pairings.

Choose between:

Venison Pie + a tasting glass of 🍷 Rietvallei Shiraz

or

Flatbread with caramelised onions, rocket, salami & mozzarella + a tasting glass of 🍷 Rietvallei Shiraz

All for only R55 per pairing.

Named after our w**emaker Kobus' two daughters, Esté and Annie, Estéanna is a w**e with a very personal story. This elegant Bordeaux-style blend offers layers of dark berries, blackcurrant and subtle oak, with refined tannins and a long, lingering finish.

It is International Shiraz day and we raise a glass to this beautiful cultivar that is loved for its generous dark fruit, beautiful structure and unmistakable peppery spice. That signature pepper character comes from a natural aroma compound found in the grape itself.

Rooted in Robertson’s limestone rich soils and shaped by generations of w**emaking, Rietvallei Shiraz is layered, expressive and made to linger.

A w**e for slow evenings, good food and even better company.
