*WATER UPDATE*

Dear Residents 🌻

Below please find update on the systems in Ward 85:

- Helderkruin System (Supplying upper Helderkruin, Wilropark and Roodekrans): Reservoir 0.04m (no pump running), tower 0.05m
- Horison tower(Supplying Horison, Discovery, Ontdekkerspark, Carenvale and Honeyhills):0.06m no pump running
- Constantia tower (Supplying Constantiakloof, parts of Kloofendal, Discovery x10 and Florida Park): 0.11m no pump running.
- Witpoortjie System(Supplying Witpoortjie, Groblerspark,Lindhave and Princess) Reservoir 0.16m (no pump running),Tower 0.75m
- Direct feeds (Strubensvalley, Little Falls, Wilgeheuwel, Lower Helderkruin, parts of Kloofendal and Parts of Discovery): Water to some areas have returned late last night and some early this morning.

*As the system fills back up pressure should start to increase*

Systems where pumps aren't running need to first recover to substantial levels befor3 pumps can be started in order to prevent pumps from burning out.

I will keep you updated on system recovery throughout the day as it* becomes available.

*ALTERNATIVE WATER SUPPLY*

There are numerous alternative Water supply points throughout hthe ward, as well as roaming tankers.

*BOREHOLE AVAILABILITY*

Residents with boreholes who would be so kind to share water with affected residents please let me know and I will put a list together.

*WATER UPDATE*

Dear Residents🌻

All indications are that Rand Water maintenance has been completed.

*We now need to allow time for the system to recover, this can take anything from a few hours to a few days depending on the different systems.*

Herewith please see the system levels as received:

Ward 85 Systems level update:

- Helderkruin System (Helderkruin, Wilropark, Roodekrans): Reservoir 0.02m (no pump running), tower 0.04
- Horison tower(Horison, Ontdekkerspark,Discovery,Horison Park, Carenvale,Honeyhills): 0.05 no pump running
- Constantia tower (Parts of Discovery, Florida Park, Constantiakloof and Kloofendal): 0.12m no pump running
- Witpoortjie system(Witpoortjie, Groblerspark, Princess) 0.50m 1 pump running, tower 8.12m
- Direct Feeds (Strubensvalley, Little Falls, Wilgeheuwel, Discovery, Lower Helderkruin and section of Kloofendal): Some residents on direct feeds have indicated that water has started trickling back in.

Once any further update in this regard is received it will be shared

*Water Supply - Eikenhof Trip*

Good morning, residents.

A major electrical trip affecting southern Johannesburg has impacted Rand Water’s Eikenhof Pumping Station, which is currently unable to pump water into the system.

Unfortunately, this means parts of Ward 99 may experience water outages before Rand Water’s planned maintenance even begins.

I’m engaging with Johannesburg Water and will share updates as soon as more information becomes available.
