🎉🍕 One Year of Napz 🍕🎉

From training in Naples, to markets and pop-ups, to opening our first shop with no experience in the restaurant industry — what a journey it has been.

A year later, we’re still learning, still refining, and still committed to doing vera pizza napoletana properly.

To our customers, followers, supporters, critics, and even the haters — thank you.

You’ve all played a part in helping shape Napz, and for that, we appreciate every one of you ❤️

🎉🍕 ONE YEAR OF NAPZ 🍕🎉

This weekend marks one year since we opened our first brick-and-mortar shop.

While the shop turns one, Napz has been making waves for over five years now — from markets, catering(powered by Gozney South Africa ) and pop-ups to finally opening our doors in Rosebank.

From training in Naples with the AVPN - Associazione Verace Pizza Napoletana and learning the traditions of vera pizza napoletana, to returning home and building our first shop with no experience in the restaurant industry, it’s been an incredible journey.

We’re incredibly proud to have made it through our first year. It hasn’t always been easy, but it has been worth every minute.

We couldn’t have done it without all of you — our customers, followers, supporters, critics, and even the haters. Every comment, review, visit, recommendation, and conversation has helped shape what Napz is today.

What amazes us most is how much we’ve learned in the past year. Every day we’re refining what we do, trying to get a little better, and continuing our mission of bringing vera pizza napoletana to Johannesburg while sharing what AVPN - Associazione Verace Pizza Napoletana and true Neapolitan pizza are all about.

To celebrate, we’re saying thank you the best way we know how.

With a small team, we sold over 350 pizzas in just 2.5 hours.

More than anything, we were blown away by the support, the feedback, and the number of people who came specifically to find Napz after following our journey.

It’s humbling to see how many people connect with our passion for doing pizza napoletana properly and choose to support what we’re building.

We’re still a small team, but we’re making big waves.
